Rob and Dee Dubin spent 20 years making sports and travel documentary films all over the world for clients such as: ABC, The Travel Channel and ESPN. Retiring from the film business in 1995 the Dubins bought a 40’ sailboat and spent the next 17 years sailing around the world. Their trip took them over 60,000 miles and visited nearly 100 countries. Rob and Dee sold their boat, Ventana, in 2013 and moved ashore in land locked Colorado, but the travel urge still burns strongly.
Rob says, “Our circumnavigation by sailboat took us past Somalia, the Horn of Africa and into the Red Sea visiting the African continent at Eritrea, Sudan, Egypt and later Morocco, but this will be our first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, and first opportunity to see Africa’s magnificent animals in the wild.”
