Well … not that you would WANT this kind of thing to happen, but once it is past it becomes a pretty neat experience! A very good wiring job, indeed.
My dad fixed my VW bug ball joint with exactly the same system.
He was a Michigan farm boy, probably not too far removed from the African Bush mechanic.
The repair 20 lasted 20 miles through suburban Minneapolis.
